So I took my Mom and little sister with me to the hotel, watched TV for half an hour as we recharged our energy and phones, lol, then hit the streets of down town Toronto.
I even drew a map
Since my Mom and lil' sis are huge fans of Korean Dramas, I took them to Korea Town on Bloor St. It was hilarious my little sister was freaking out like "omg I can actually hear Korean people talking Korean. . . in the flesh, you guys this is the real deal!" And my Mom would get excited when she understood small talk and would say "Annyeong-haseyo" and "Kamsahamnida". Me and my little sister would make fun and pretend everyone we saw was in a drama by mapping out their lives with ridiculous situations and dramatic fates...yes we were chit-chatting like old ajumma's ^////^
We ate at Arisu Korean & Japanese Restaurant. Amazing and whole hearty foods. No matter what you order they will give you the Korean cuisine experience buy first giving you a ..
Tofu appetizer
and many Korean side dishes including the infamous Kimchi
My mom got the "grilled Mackerel fish"
which came with a heavenly "soybean tofu stew"
My little sister got the Hae Mool Pa Juhn, which is a Korean pancake with seafood
It was too much for her so we all had a slice, simply delicious.
I had the Teriyaki Salmon with rice
which came with Miso soup
Looks like a sand storm in there ^L^ |
Way to go Mom
Orange juice and ginger ale in the back.
quite frankly orange juice and ginger ale together is a good combination
The food was amazing and I hope you guys try it if you ever strut down Bloor St.
We walked a lot that day, went to a Korean supermarket, bakery, visited gwiyeoun stores, anime & manga stores, and then we finally headed back to the hotel. The next day we spent relaxing in Eaton Center Mall. Ahhh the air conditioning was pleasant, beats walking in the sun all day carrying bags -.-''
But still I had fun! Thank you ケイケイさん and Cambridge Suite Hotel :)
